This is the text of a printed letter distributed to parents of children taking part in our Summer Show, and intended primarily for these parents. We will officially announce the show in April.
Summer Show 2015 Cinderella: Information Update for Parents
We can now confirm (subject to contract) that our Summer Show Cinderella will be held at the Patsy Cline Theater at John Handley High School, Winchester, on the afternoon of Saturday June 13th. The exact time is to be announced. There will be rehearsals at the venue on that morning.
Costumes have been ordered for the students taking part. Most of these will arrive in May.
We expect to offer tickets for sale starting in April. There will be plenty available for family and friends. The first group of tickets will be at a reduced price, so buy early!
Request for Sponsorship and Program Advertising
For this year’s show there will be additional advance costs for scenery and props. We hope to fund this by attracting sponsorship from local businesses and others, mainly through selling advertising space in our program for the show.
This is where we would like the help of the parents of our students, and of other interested friends. We would like you to approach local businesses – ones where you buy or sell, and ones where you and your friends work – and give them copies of our Request for Sponsorship letter. You may also like to give letters to community organizations, churches etc which might consider advertising.
We hope that each student family will be able to give a letter to at least 2-3 businesses and others. If this happens, and only one business in five responds, we should reach our budget.
We are attaching some copies of the Request for Sponsorship letter to this letter. More copies are available at our studio, and it will also be available online.

You are welcome to send this to businesses and other potential sponsors, either electronically or in printed form. If you print it, please do so on a good quality color printer if possible, or collect a printed copy from our studio.
Volunteers and Concessions
We will be looking for some parents to volunteer to help us with the show, on the day and in advance. Please speak to us if you can offer to help. We will also be having concessions during the intermission, so please let us know if you have suitable products you would like to sell.
A reminder of upcoming show rehearsal dates for many of our students:
- Ballet (most students): Saturdays March 14th, April 18th, May 23rd, June 6th.
- Irish dance: Mondays April 12th, May 4th, June 1st.
