We are pleased to announce Coppélia Showcase, our Summer Show 2018. This will be on Saturday June 16th at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm, at Millbrook High School, Winchester, the same venue as last year.
The show will be in two parts:
Franz is infatuated with the beautiful girl who sits in the window of Dr Coppélius’ toy workshop. His fiancée Swanhilda is jealous. Then she uncovers the secrets of the workshop …
Miss Lorenza and her team will present their adaptation of the romantic ballet Coppélia, with music by Léo Delibes (1870).
Showcase: Dancing Through The Years
Miss Eva, Miss Laura and Miss Aundria will present a selection of dance and musical theatre performances representing time periods from the 1800s to the 2000s.
There will be two performances of the same show on June 16th, at 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
Edinburg ballet and tap students will dance at the 1:00 pm performance. Pro 2 ballet students will also dance one their two dances at the 4:00 pm performance.
Winchester ballet and tap students will dance at the 4:00 pm performance. Pro 4 ballet students and tap students age 8-12 (Wednesday class) will also dance at the 1:00 pm performance.
Other students (lyrical & contemporary, jazz & hip-hop, musical theatre and vocals, Irish dance) will be expected to dance in both performances. If in doubt about this, please ask your student’s teacher.
Tickets for the show are now available for order at our Winchester and Edinburg studios, and online.
Regular tickets bought in advance (by Thursday June 14th) will be $15.00 for adults, $12.00 for under 16, at our studios and online – see the link below.
Early bird discount for tickets purchased by Tuesday April 10th, at our studios and online: $12.00 for adults, $10.00 for under 16.
This year we will be charging extra for tickets bought at the door: $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for under 16.
Parents of students who are in both performances may purchase special tickets allowing them to watch the show twice, a maximum of two tickets per student for $15.00 each, available only at our studios.
Dancers do not need tickets, but all family members do. Free admission for children under 3 not occupying a seat. We will announce sale of DVDs later.
Millbrook High School is just off Route 7 east of Winchester. From I-81 junction 315, turn east towards Berryville and Leesburg. After about 1 mile, turn left at lights into First Woods Drive. The school is on the left, with a large parking lot.
