Laura Gill has been teaching theatre, drama and dance to young people throughout Southeast Michigan and internationally for 13 years. In 2013, she also began teaching drama, theatre and dance to young people with complex needs. As a teaching artist she encourages students to find their creative voice through experimentation and collaboration. In her work with young people with complex needs it is her aim to use drama, theatre, and dance as a way to strengthen their artistic, social, and communication skills.
Laura holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of Michigan-Flint with a major in Theatre and a minor in Dance, and a Master of Arts from Eastern Michigan University with a specialization in Drama/Theatre for the Young.
In 2017 Laura and her family moved to Virginia, and she taught dance and musical theatre at Italia Performing Arts, mainly at the Edinburg studio. In 2018-19 she will be an occasional substitute teacher.
